Regime Change

Some just call it meddling. Ben Cardin, Senator, Democrat, was on MSNBC this morning , he said he supports the democratic process and regime change in Venezuela.

I'm not a fan of the might makes right doctrine, the financialized "gunboat diplomacy".

The British Empire gave up this place and the South got to keep their slaves, the West, take the West from the Indians.

      They let go.

Now, if this empire is into regime change, why wouldn't they start with Saudi Arabia? Should I go on? Iraq, Libya, Syria, now Venezuela, the two political parties agree, have agreed for quite a while actually, that their Monroe Doctrine still applies even when the meddling isn't by a foreign power, but domestic politics. Prior to 1992, they could blame the Commies.

I call it "financialized" gunboat diplomacy, the embargoes, the boycotts, the blockades, the currency manipulation. The prevailing mood in the US Government calls it a return to democracy.

May I take this opportunity to apologise about my absence on Yabberz of late. This year I began a new job working with those whose lives are a little more challenging than others. As I settle in to my new role I will become more active in the coming days and weeks and look forward to the beginning of the end of the lunacy of the lesser presidency and watch with cautious optimism as Brexit well and truly goes the way of London Bridge and falls flat on its ignorant face.

When you have the World's largest reserves of oil, what you have is a strategic resource. Maduro may be an incompetent, corrupt bozo, but if he hadn't been embargoed, blockaded, and bankrupted, he wouldn't be in the fix he's in, which is why he's a done deal. The people have had enough of needless suffering, the economy of the place wasn't that socialistic, the economic sanctions told the tale on any economy.

That nobody's talking to him means he's a done deal. Is he smart enough to figure a bloodless way out of this?

The settler culture that's run Venezuela is back. It's a new ball game. Let's hope the transition doesn't kill a whole bunch of people, they've suffered enough because they sit on a strategic resource.

              GOP Political Correctness

The far left obsession with political correctness could be the biggest legitimate criticism of liberalism. That the Dem party allows the far left to dictate policy is another.

The GOP has nothing to say about leftist PC, because they have their own more harsh version. They will defend a Roy Moore before they make the right choice for the country or even themselves. It's heresy not to accept whatever toxic lies Faux News upchucks.

I will paste in 10 points I made in an exchange with Tom Lowe. I can't call it a debate because he couldn't defend his position with facts or basic human empathy for those less fortunate.

It is politically incorrect for Republicans to:

                  1. Acknowledge that evolution is a fact and is imperative to use the term "theory" incorrectly.

                  2. Acknowledge that scientific consensus confirms that climate change is a fact.

                  3. Admit that trickle down economics only benefits the top 1%.

                  4. Agree that the the whole GOP economic package is destroying the middle class and driving jobs and industries off shore.

                  5. Admit that Trump is a Chicken Hawk and has no business being Commander in Chief of the US military, the power to deploy that military arbitrarily, and especially has his finger on the Nuclear Trigger.

                  6. Agree that Trump's antics on social media are un-Presidential and borders on treason. For the most powerful person on the planet to have petty arguments online with ordinary citizens proves that he is a malignant narcissist.

                  7. Admit that Trump is using the Office of the President of the United States for personal financial gain and to cover up tax fraud.

                  8. Agree that, at the very least, Trump inspires and empowers white supremacists and many other domestic hate groups.

                  9. Admit that McConnell is worse than Trump because he's the power behind the throne, even though McConnell himself is in the pockets of the Evangelicals. Of course, Ann Coulter is competing for that position.

                  10. Admit that the USA is becoming a pariah nation in the eyes of the rest of world, and it MATTERS!!!!!!

I was on this during the caucuses in 2016, make Election Day a holiday, dump Columbus Day, and it went over big time, the empire, not so much, nobody wanted to go there, but dump Columbus Day went over big, like the pizza.

That's the rap, dump Columbus, The Election Day Holiday, celebrate buying the West from the French, bringing civilization and religion to the Indians, manifest destiny, the usual, celebrate from sea to shining sea, and etc.

                      Dump Columbus.
