A Brief History on the News from Alt-World
News kept being created all over A-WIN (Alt-World Integrated Network) which had been the equivalent of our Internet. But then all grew silent before the restructuring. It amazes the engineers of this vast net how the Triumvirate (People's Republic of the Han, United Panslavic Peoples of Russland and the Ubiquitous Sensescence of Obeisance) could pull up their sleeves and through an united effort restructure its vast webbing. Now no more artificial reports. No longer can the news ever be false. All that comes forth is the truth and we working with AND (der Alt-Neu Dienst) through the wormhole corridor of the human imagination are able to bring you this information (not disinformation but this information).
With the consolidation of A-WIN, providers fell under the aegis of self-regulating Inter-Tech Technologies (ITT), there were no longer any more cyber wars except those incidents allowed to keep the end user on her toes. Please note that the word cyber originated from the Greek κυβερ (kyver) for govern.
From tales of "Fables from the Stables"
One day, the titmouse dashing about chattering. She described a rather strange shadowy character who went around with a funny hat and a press badge strapped behind the hat band. His sidekick dragged along a camera with flash and would blind the victim as he was interrogated. The shadowy character, not unlike a munchkin, would take dictation -- rapid jottings with pen upon a miniature notepad. Well, the titmouse was running about in front of the coop causing the hens to run amok. With all of the hullabaloo a committee of seven pachyderms went before their sovereign sus to allay their fears of invaders from outside. When Hazor the sus was asked about the existence of these two culprits representing a certain class of characters that at one time had been known as the Fourth Estate, he replied "what Fourth Estate?"
On the outside opponents to this consolidation traded spars of fake reports with one another amusing themselves of what they wished for -- the impending downfall of all three nations (i.e., the collapse of the Triumvirate). Sadly for these exiles the Triumvirate had already shall we say triumphed.
