Just watched a live broadcast with the FBI, IRS and US Attorney present. Over 50 people arrested this morning so far nationwide. Cheating to get in school on their sat scores while having rich parents pay to play.....Sounds like how dotard got in school..

More on this breaking story later...…..Two well known actresses are involved so far.

When I took my SAT test there was a teacher in the front of the room looking at all the students in a small room of about 25 students at most. So if anyone was sitting next to me giving me the answers to the test the teacher would have seen them and known what was going on. So IMHO the people giving the test are as much responsible for the cheating as the student and the people helping the student cheat on the test by giving them the answers during the test. I read that some students had a helper sitting right next to them correcting their test answers as they took the test. So I feel that anyone helping a student cheat on their SAT's should also go to jail.

Here's the list of all 50 who were arrested.

All entitled. All convinced the rules didn't apply to them.

Most rich enough to have been able to hire tutors for any underachieving children.

Parenting by bribery in that 'village' will prove to be a very, very bad idea.

Hate to say it but....GOOD. About damn time entitled rich assholes got slapped down.

I was denied a college education over being transgender. And I was carrying a 4.0 GPA - meanwhile these lazy affluent spoiled brats get all the best just because they got born to rich parents. The system STINKS. I hope they slap all of them down, and HARD, too.

i have no doubt this stuff has been going on for many a year, years ago here where i live, many of the school were passing ball players<very good ones at that> even tho some of them could hardly even read.some even got into collage for free, then the collages found out that 90% of the guys could not read beyond 5th grade level.it was made public that they were given good grades so they could play sports and win. a stop was put to such things after it became news.

Now here’s a study that will not be done. Over the years, how well did these kids do in those colleges relative to the typical student who got in the legal way? If it turned out to be little different, it would be a desaster for the entire college admissions industry and college admissions policies of the schools. Now here is a bet. The kids who got in illegally as fake athletes will likely be found to do much better than the typical actual athlete.

Anyway, the kids as well as the parents and others involved should be locked up.

Have you looked at the basketball players that are the starters in the Big Ten men's basketball tournament. Or take Duke's Starting Five Men's basketball team. You know that all these guys are not Rhoads scholars. They get basketball scholarships and a free ride. Some are one and done and move onto the MBA to make millions. But I'd like to give them the SAT test and watch them so they can't cheat and then see if they can pass the test. These kids are paid to play basketball and make money for the schools. I'm not sure they attend all their classes and do all their homework and take all their tests and actually pass all their classes without lots of help. So it's not just the Rich White People that get a helping hand.

I worked in all the colleges in California ! And some in other states ....

Does this qualify me for a degree ?

                                      Gonna have to check ...

Maybe I can "pay" for an honorary one !
