What if Trump Really is Working for Vladimir Putin?

The Russia Probe has already found a number of American ‘players' who while aligned with Trump, have been indicted and found guilty of crimes associated with working surreptitiously with Russia during the Trump campaign, and who also have been found to have been involved in subsequent "Trump cover ups."

So what about Trump himself? According to recent reports, the FBI suspected that Trump was knowingly working for the Russians when he first fired James Comey. Since then, Trump’s former campaign manager and attorney, Michael Cohen, was found to have made payments in coordination with and at the direction of Trump, that establish Trump as an un-indicted co-conspirator in the Cohen case.

So that raises questions of Trumps involvement. What if his lies about Russia (nobody in my campaign ever met with a Russian, there is no collusion, I have nothing to do with Russia) are a cover for his remark on Monday in New Orleans: “I never worked for Russia,” and the Mueller probe determines otherwise?

      .

      https://www.rawstory.com/2019/01/trump-really-work...

With Trump having denied Russian contacts and then backtracked from them so many times, the logical question is, what if all this Russia stuff is true? What if the Russians made a deal with Trump to help him get elected? What if all those meetings actually were about “collusion?” What if Trump actually does have the connections he went into such detail to deny — “deals” and “dealings,” and “current pending deals” and “loans?”

What if Trump really is working for Vladimir Putin?

If he is, that would certainly answer why was he so solicitous of Putin during the campaign, why has he consistently refused to say even one critical thing about Putin, why has he has accepted Putin’s word over that of his own government that the Russians didn’t interfere in the presidential election, and why he stood next to Putin at Helsinki and virtually surrendered his nation to the interests of Russia.

But it leaves the question, what hold could Putin possibly have over him?

Former United States ambassador to Russia Michael McFaul was on MSNBC on Monday night talking about Russia “giving money to Trump in 2008.” “That’s how Putin does business,” McFaul went on to explain. “He gives money to people for free, and then they collect.”

      Related imageTrump, McFaul, and Putin

So if it’s money, that raises even more questions: How long has it been going on? How did it work? Why did it begin in the first place? Was Trump facing bankruptcy and Putin bailed him out, and now Trump owes him?

That’s what happened on a smaller scale with Trump’s campaign chairman, Paul Manafort. He worked for Russian interests for at least a decade in the Ukraine and was lavishly paid for it. Court documents unsealed last summer show that when Manafort’s Russia-connected man Viktor Yanukovych was ousted, Manafort ran short on money, and Putin’s pal Oleg Deripaska loaned him $10 million. The affidavit also showed that it was Deripaska who backed Manafort’s political consulting work in Ukraine from the beginning, in 2005 and 2006.

As we now know, Deripaska went to Manafort to collect on his debt during the campaign, asking for “briefings” and eventually being given campaign polling data by the former campaign manager. Does this raise questions about why Trump is now moving to lift sanctions on companies controlled by Deripaska? You bet it does.

      Three Really Big Questions

There are three big questions we don’t have answers for. First, what is Putin’s overall aim? It’s known that he believes the break up of the Soviet Union was “a major geopolitical disaster of the century,” as he told the Russian parliament in a kind of “state of the union” address in 2005. We know he has designs on Ukraine and has already annexed Crimea, which was Ukrainian territory. We know that like every Russian leader before him, he would like to see NATO weakened, if not broken up altogether, and he’d like to see the European Union come apart at the seams.

If Putin wants NATO weakened, the New York Times reported yesterday that Trump repeatedly told aides in 2018 that he would like the U.S. to withdraw from the 70-year Atlantic alliance. If he wants more influence in Syria, Trump gave it to him when he recently announced the pullout of American troops.

The second question is, what will happen if Trump stops giving Putin what he wants? What will they do to him?

Which immediately raises the third question: If Trump is actually working for Russia because Putin in effect owns him, how can he extricate himself? Better still, can he extricate himself? People who cross Vladimir Putin tend not to live long and healthy lives. Could Donald Trump be afraid not just for his fortune, but for the well-being of himself and his family if Putin turns on him?

When you start looking for the answers to questions like these, Trump’s lies about Russia appear in an entirely different light. Maybe all those lesser lies – nobody in my campaign ever met with a Russian, there is no collusion, I have nothing to do with Russia – have been in service of the biggest lie of them all, the lie we heard him utter on Monday afternoon on his way to address the farmers in New Orleans. “I never worked for Russia.”

Maybe this is what he’s been afraid of all along. After asking us to believe all those other lies he’s had to backtrack on, now he needs us to believe the big one to survive. Maybe he’s fighting hard to stay in office not because he wants to be president so badly, but because he’s afraid of what Vladimir Putin will do to him if he’s ousted. Given Putin’s track record, I wouldn’t want to be in his shoes. Would you?

wouldn't Russia find a smarter spy? i mean i know he is corrupt and i know he has ties with Russian oligarchs and i am pretty sure he is compromised,,, and i think i just put my foot in my mouth but seriously a Russian agent? he spells worse then me! he is unbelievably stupid! i don't buy it. Trump is just incompetent, spoiled and corrupt. he is most likely in deep with some Russian mobsters and they want him to pay up now that he is president. which BTW is so much much worse and embarrassing. this isnt some 007 conspiracy its a bad movie where Adam Sandler accidentally puts on a magic orange wig and becomes president.

The question you should be asking, what if he isn't. A much more realistic question. With a much more realistic answer that you will simply, and sadly not accept. Innocent until proven guilty means the answer is a given. Trump is not working with Putin until you prove otherwise.

Stories like this from a "news" (rawstory???) is all you post. Another "What if". That is how fiction starts. What if my husband is cheating, what if my son has a pregnant girlfriend, what if my daughter I gave up for adoption was my sons pregnant girlfriend, what if my son has a boyfriend? Soap opera stuff.

Or Jerry Springer. Which is scripted, by the way.

Do you ever ask, "Who wrote this? Who is rawnews? What has he done, from where does he write, where has he been to write what he writes?" Its obvious when the author quotes various newspapers. It comes from sitting on his ass reading the same crap as everyone else. Not from a position of knowledge. So, why do you post it??

I guess your being the good little democrat. Our constitution and law says innocent until proven guilty. And because your still asking "WHAT IF Trump is working for Russia?", you and your sources still DON'T KNOW!!

Since you and sources do not know the answer, then the answer that should be accepted is that he is NOT in league with Russia beyond normal politics. The previous administration left us in quite the mess in Syria. I certainly hope Trump does communicate with Putin. And with all other world leaders friend and foe alike. Communication, you remember what that was. What was once done on this site when it was a forum. Its what is done to settle things before missiles and bullets fly. One talks, the other listens. Then it switches and a dialog is born. We listen to each other, which is as important as talking to each other. Talking is worthless if you will not listen with an open enough mind that all your "What if" articles means, they don't know. What if does not mean, "It is".

We already know what will happen. House democrats need no evidence. They will impeach and vote as ordered by Pelosi. Do as she says or you will be punished. Those that didn't vote for her have been left out of the committees they requested. Pelosi favoring the less experienced and low seniority over those that spoke against her that would do a better job, but may not vote as she demands. Isn't that the very thing you were afraid Trump would do? She now welds the power of speaker as if a dictator. "Standing up to Trump" even Trump is enforcing the laws passed by congress. Even as he tries to uphold the constitution and security of the nation. That Pelosi herself asked Trump to hold off on the state of the union address citing security concerns. That the capital is too insecure for the address to take place. If she thinks the capital is unsecure, what the rest of the country? The capital is the most secure place in the world, is it not?

Pence will be denied the presidency because he is an evangelist. There is nothing in the constitution that prevent anyone from holding the office on religious grounds. But the argument of separation of church and state will still be argued, and ONE federal judge will decide Pence can not be president because he is an evangelist. With this decision, the constitution will be words on a page. The discrimination suffered by Pence because of his religion will set aside the anti-discrimination laws that religion can not be used to fire or hire. Or scrap the constitution so that Pence can not be president.

Illegal immigrants are receiving welfare in California, breaking federal law. They are allowed to vote, breaking constitutional laws. No state employee can ask legal status, removing the safe guards of making sure only citizens are voting. Registrar of voters are employees of the state. Penalty for asking is fine, jail, and of course, loss of job.

Overthrowing the duly elected president on a "what if" for evidence, is not how democracy is saved, its how it and the constitution will end. Which is democrat leaders goal. I heard Hillary say in a recent interview she wants a one party state. Saddam had a one party state. So did hitler. Stalin. Chavez in Venezuela, his opposition told their followers NOT to vote. Did they figure that if more didn't vote than how many did vote, they were the winners? Is this the democracy your looking forward to? Does your loyalty lay with the constitution, or does it lay with your party, who is actively trying to destroy it and the nation?

You are discriminating on the basis of party. Refusing to listen, because you decided republicans are stupid and not worth listening to. Guilty until proven innocent, your party has decided the constitution is stupid as well. When you and your party has destroyed the nation, understand this. Democracy is a rare thing. Freedom even more so. You can not preserve ANYTHING by breaking it. Your prejudice and continued call for impeachment based on "what if"'s is the call to end democracy, turn the constitution into a suggestion, and have one person in control of every democrat vote or risk losing the DNC support for re-election. The all important election. Wanting more seats so that one person can command those votes. This is your idea of a democracy?? This is already happening. There is no "what if" about what czar Pelosi is doing and has done.

Quit listening to what they say, watch what they do. Then listen again. Did they do what they say? Is breaking the constitution as California is doing serving the citizens of this country?? Crime has shot up in this state. The state no longer cooperates with the FBI database, so have to go by local papers. Instead of keeping track of the data and proving Trump wrong about a criminal element illegally entering, this "sanctuary" state refuses to collect the data and the FBI data base. Yet, self inflicted ignorance, still claims Trump is wrong. You like to read between the lines, what does that say to you?

What if your wrong? There is nothing right about your words. If and when the evidence is there to prove ANYTHING of the many things the panel of "experts" spew based on "what if", none has been found to be true yet, then the chips fall where they may and Pence is president. Evidence is not limited to party. The only collusion proven beyond doubt so far is Hillary's with her dossier. But, apparently, its only illegal if your a republican and if you win.

OMG that was a ridiculous long and ignorant rant. But thanks anyway, it did make me laugh!

I guess your being the good little democrat.

You mean you’re - but yes, I am a good democrat. You are obviously a troll - - not a good one though, your lies have been debunked so many times it must have made you crosseyed. ;-)

Mica Scarborough posed the question this morning on The Morning Joe Show of how is it possible that Trump is NOT working on behalf of Russia. When one examines all of the things Trump has promoted and done since becoming president, MOST of what he does promotes things Putin has been trying to do for years. The other part of what he does promote white supremacy.

                      1. Cause chaos in the American government.

                      2. Pull the very small contingent of military advisers out of Syria.

                      3. Cause discord between the USA and its allies.

                      4. Threaten to pull the USA out of NATO.

                      5. Lift sanctions against Russian oligarchs.

                      6. Shut the American government down.
