McConnell Calls For Investigation
Of Ford Letter Leaker
Who leaked the story? Will McConnell reveal the answer?

Someone leaked the story of a then-anonymous letter about an accusation of sexual assault against Brett Kavanaugh to The New Yorker, which in turn forced Dianne Feinstein to break confidentiality and acknowledge its existence, and eventually "outed" Dr. Christine Blasey Ford.
Mitch McConnell has launched an investigation into the identity of the leaker, but may not like what he finds.
In mid-September, I posted a 'thought-experiment' that was dismissed by some as a wild conspiracy theory, that a GOP political dirty trickster had leaked the story as a distraction from Kavanaugh's having been caught by document and video evidence lying to Congress, preferring a "culture wars" fight they believed they could win. And by most accounts have won. The theory doesn't look quite so wild anymore...
"The anonymous accusation of sexual assault from over 30 years ago puts Sen. Dianne Feinstein and the Democratic opposition to Brett Kavanaugh's nomination to the Supreme Court in a quandary since they can't simply dismiss it - they can't NOT refer it to the FBI for investigation.
But at the same time, they may not wish to distract from their other legitimate issues with Kavanaugh, like lying under oath to Congress, over an unsubstantiated 'cold case' high school accusation - which may help explain why Feinstein didn't act on it immediately.
But it also makes me very suspicious."
