Let's begin with a quote that goes right to the heart of the matter.
“There is now more tolerance for dishonesty in politics than I have seen in my lifetime,” Bloomberg said. “The only thing more dangerous than dishonest politicians who have no respect for the law is a chorus of enablers who defend their every lie.”
Bloomberg is 100% correct when he says we have never seen such tolerance of dishonesty as we see now in our politics and it goes right up to the top of the chain to the Liar-In-Chief himself, Trump. What Bloomberg also correctly states is the fact there are enablers, which in this case would be the Republican Party, who allow and even support and spread those lies coming from the highest office in the Nation. This is something that is beyond belief but it's happening and getting worse by the day. Even one of Trump's top spokespeople came up with a beauty to sugar coat a lie and to call it an alternative fact, which is nothing but a big fat lie. Bloomberg didn't get into name calling which he could easily have justified since these lies can be traced to where they originated and that means the Conservative Press could also have been named as being enablers such as Fox Entertainment, Brietbart, InfoWars and so many other outlets where nothing but lies roll off the tongues of these con artists posing as some sort of news reporter.
We live in a culture of lies which extends into our government. Question we need to be asking is when this culture of lying will extend into our legal system? Don't for a minute think that isn't a possibility. All one has to do is place the right people in those judges seats and even the Supreme Court and we can all sing, Bye Bye Miss American Pie, because Lady Liberty will have left us.
