Ahhhhhhh . . . . not to be facetious, but this is my "feel good moment" of the day !! I CAN'T STAND BULLIES - all ages, sizes, shapes and forms !! They prey on the weak and vulnerable . . . . the only way they can feel good about themselves !! Hmmmmmmm - sounds like the "extremes" in the Republican party.
I "encountered" a bully in the 3rd grade ---- he was slapping around a disabled little boy (this was 55+ years ago) I went "full Irish" .. punched him in the face and knocked his permanent front tooth out. I was worried what my Mom and Dad would say . . . . as the parents of the bully came to our house and demanded money to replace their son's tooth.
My very Irish Mom said to the parents: "Sorry - when your child was slapping a little disabled boy around, he lost all rights to be treated fairly. Now, leave my property, teach your child how to behave and respect all kids, and pay for the tooth yourself !" Slam, bang with the door !!
My mom had a "tone" that pretty much relayed the message loud and clear. Never heard from these people again . . . . and the bully kid ? He never did learn his lesson, as he was taken in by the police several times before he graduated from High School for assault and battery - probably in prison today !
