The recent revelations of the Trump White House of Chaos delivered so eloquently by Bob Woodward in "Fear" brings me back to the idea that while we mobilize the #Resist base by revealing every mean spirited, cowardly, unethical or illegal act, it is the exposure of the TrumpGOP's leadership's frailties that diminishes the number of Deplorable Donnie's supporters. Like these people:
Trump's statements to aids that the response to the Charlottesville murder of Heather Heye - according to Woodward's tome - was the "biggest f---ing mistake I’ve made." is dreadful on almost every level. Why he thought so is the important aspect, however.
"The worst speech I have ever given" Trump is said to have claimed. The reasons he gave are the basis for our change in approach to influencing his baseline support - it made him reveal his greatest concern: "You never make those concessions. You never apologize. I didn't do anything wrong in the first place. Why look weak?"
As disgusting a premise that he had not done anything wrong in the first place is, it is the fact that he felt that to have to backtrack anything made him appear vulnerable. And he is. That is the true
Consider the proposition that Kirsten Soltis Anderson made in the very conservative Washington Examiner on July 19th 2018:
"To stand next to an adversary — an adversary who actively seeks to undermine the West and disrupt the peaceful, liberal democratic order of the U.S. and its allies — and to say you trust him over your own people, and think by the way that your own country has done some very bad things, is madness, yes. But it is also weak and cowardly. Those are things America cannot afford to be. Those are things Brand Trump cannot afford to be, either."
It is hard to argue with Aaron Blake's analysis regarding the Helsinki meeting from the Washington Post's, The Fix, published back on July 20th: "...in this last case, it can't help but look like he has no idea what he's doing — and that he was completely out of his element when negotiating with someone like Putin."
Even high level GOP members were considering the possibility - if not the probability - that Putin has something on Trump. He does. Trump is, in fact weak, while Vladimir is a bastion of power. That fact forces Trump's hand to the Twitter keyboard - and his over 15 million followers with fake accounts - and provides the opportunity not just to challenge the truthfulness of his words, but to turn them into expressions written by a "Yuge Loser", the one thing that destroys the Despotic Donald the most.
So with that in mind, I repost below the message I wrote to those who support #45:
Dear misguided, uneducated MAGA supporters: Donald J Trump cannot protect you from Immigrants, Unemployment, Taxes or your religious belief sets. He will make you pay your last Red cent to compensate him for failing, however.
His tax breaks do not begin to cover your Sam's Club membership, or the ammunition for the hunt that you can no longer afford the gas to drive to. The Trump Syndicate advertises for workers from outside the USA, and restricts decision making to rich, old, white men.
The rule of law means nothing, unless the President needs it to pad his wallet or exercise "public domain" laws to confiscate your property. Be proud to have Trump owe you money, because you are in the company of tens of thousands of people. Good, hardworking souls, better known to Trump as the little people, or peons, for that matter.
Embrace the fact that no matter how well educated you are, or how much support you give the current holder of the Oval Office, you are nothing more than a small, discardable tool for your duly elected Chief to utilize for personal profit. 20 cents of every dollar you have provided to his campaign has been used to pay off lawyers. More than that went to paying the rent at his company owned resorts. In fact, he has contributed virtually nothing, for as long as the fleecing of his ignorant flock continues unabated, Trump is thrilled to cash in.
Trump has a vested interest in failing to protect the citizenry, for as long as you followers feel insecure, frightened and unheard, he will be able to trade freely on your emotions. Trump relies on your ignorance, and by perpetuating the myth that he will save the you while actually conspiring to do nothing of the sort, Trump maintains his influence over you.
The attempts to cancel your healthcare and deprive you of your hard earned Social Security check while disrespecting your faith and all of womenkind are already factually well proven.
You have been the unwitting participant in a very long confidence game. It is long past time to check your wallets, purses and bank accounts, your conscience and your ethics - though it may be too late.
The TrumpGOP has shorn the vast majority of you already.
