I thought Donald Trump would make a terrible president, and after 9 months in office, I have to admit, I grossly underestimated his incompetence, ignorance and insanity.

Whether we are talking about his sleazy and possibly illegal relationships with the Russians (before and since the election) or his antipathy to clean air and clean water with his EPA appointment of a huckster for polluters or his ignorance of the mounting dangers of Climate Change or his inanity about healthcare being "so complicated" or his insanity about fomenting a nuclear war with North Korea, it should be apparent to anyone, who hasn't been brainwashed by Fox "News" or Rush Limbaugh, that what we have is a man in the WH, who is unfit, unqualified and unstable.

And yet with 14 months left to the 2018 elections, the Republican controlled Congress continues to act as though there is no presidential problem, and that America can go on with business as usual!

Instead the GOP is plunging ahead on another "magical mystery tour" of tax reform, where the rich get enriched with huge tax cuts, the middle class is thrown a few crumbs, and the deficits (which Republicans allegedly hate) soar!!!

The truth is we can't go on much longer with government run by the buffoon in the WH, and the cravenly corrupt congresspeople like Ryan in the House, and McConnell in the Senate.

The bizarro "reality show," Trump and the GOP have provided to America is one of disgusting greed, racist divisiveness, anti-scientific stupidity, gross malfeasance of office (trying to repeal Obamacare three times in the last 9 months), and depraved indifference to the suffering and misery of American citizens in Puerto Rico, and now CA.

Trump's assaults on the free press, with his ridiculous claims of "Fake News," is a threat to the first amendment rights of us all. His demand that the NFL suppress players from exercising their freedom of expression by kneeling during the national anthem, is another attack on our rights.

In every way, and every day, Trump demonstrates his unfitness for the office. In fact, except when he's frequently golfing at tax payer's expense, he's probably doing far more damage by being in the WH, and making his ludicrous decisions.

I've often suggested we can wait until the elections of 2018, when, hopefully, a Democratic Congress can be elected, and remove this blithering idiot blight from the WH, but I no longer think we can wait that long.

Trump needs to be removed as soon as possible; either by the 25th amendment process or by impeachment or by his resignation.

Since I doubt his cabinet has the courage to repudiate this vulgar poltroon, and since the GOP Congress is equally cowardly and craven, our best hope is "resignation."

If the American people start bombarding the WH with demands that he resign, and if the MSM and their editorial boards continue to focus on his dangerous incompetence, and if the courts continue to strike down his violations of the Constitution, the megalomaniac may realize that his grifter jig is up.

If Mueller threatens Trump with steep fines or prison for his violations of the emoluments clause or obstruction of justice or any of the many other laws he's violated, it could make Trump think twice about staying in office.

Trump and Melania don't like living in the WH anyway, and he's even been quoted as saying he hates everyone there!

So do yourself and America a favor Donald! Quit before you're dishonorably impeached or plunge the nation into a tragic situation for which you will be criminally charged.

America deserves better than this fool in the WH, and better than his dubious successor, Pence, but this is what happens, when we have election laws that are antiquated, and undemocratic, which allow someone with less votes than the winner to become President.

Alas! With Trump still inhabiting the WH, abolishing the Electoral College will have to wait for another day!

seems that even with everything he has done to undermine the Constitution, wanting to silence the press, Russian connections, conflict of intetest, on and on and on,

no one is willing to take a hard stand against him and get his (ass)ets away from White house.

The problem is the cowardly, corrupt, and power hungry GOP.

They have the power to impeach or threaten impeachment to get him to stop being such a pig, but they won't do it.

They're too afraid of alienating "their base" of Trumpanzees or of being "primaried" in future elections.

Instead of thinking about the welfare of America, they're only thinking about themselves!

I don't think it's fair to call Trump illegitimate since a few years ago Bill Maher was able to locate the Orangutan that fathered him.

I will stick to the moniker coined by the Secretary of State and address him as the " F'ing Moron" that he is.

I think Pence may be more dangerous, politically. At least Trump is too incompetent and self centered to get any meaningful legislation through.

It's hard to imagine anyone being more dangerous than Trump, a megalomaniacal narcissist, who lies relentlessly, and loves to threaten and harm people.

Yes, this is a reality show, and it needs to be cancelled, immediately. It seems Trump is constantly focused on ratings-the NFL, the Emmy's, his own, instead of actually focusing on being President. So, he obviously believes he is on a TV show. I say, cancel it. Now.

It will take millions of voices calling their congressional representatives, and telling them to "Fire the effing moron in the WH!" for us to get this "reality (horror) show" cancelled.

He doesn't even value the first amendment. The evil press should be done away with, change the constitution, is his latest rallying cry!

The press, especially since becoming more about making money than informing the public, isn't without it's critics, me included, but they aren't in the business of providing fakes news because that would harm their bottom line more than anything. Even when they do twist the news, opining in ways that skew the evidence, like news pundits do to entertain their core audience, they still have to operate within the limits of reporting about things that have actually happened. And the first amendment is the guarantor of this freedom of information. An ignorant public does not a strong nation make ...well, supposedly not. But look who is President. How'd that happen?
