That's one of the funny things about Pro Lifers. They say that they are Pro Life, but sometimes their actions are a little Skewed. Yes, some will say they want to protect the innocent, but when certain people say certain things, well their already iffy arguments gets a little iffier.

When there are Politicians that say things like this......

      http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/02/28/lawrence-...

When you have leaders who say things like this out loud it is only natural that there are those who feel it is Ok to threaten to take measures into their own hands. Even if the actions they threaten contradict their beliefs in that which they claim to be 'Protecting. We have heard all the reasons as to why Choice from women should be removed, But whoever this person is they really should be forbidden from ever breeding.........

      Ever!!!

An unidentified male posting to Yahoo Answers just told the internet that he has decided to kill his girlfriend if she chooses not to incubate an egg fertilized by his seed.

Here's the post in full and his attempted walk back of his words.

I got my girlfriend of 11 months pregnant and now she wants to kill it. I called my lawyer and he said there was nothing i could do. Why is this country so ****** up? Its MY baby too. I have tried everything and there is no reasoning with her. I have decided that if she kills my child i will kill her. Thats the... show more

Update: I told her that she could deliver the baby and I would be sole caretaker. I'm not usually violent at all...but she wants to kill my baby. And nothig I say can change her mind I feel completely helpless. I don't care if its growing in her. I would take it out if I could. This is ridiculous i should have a... show more

Update 2: Don't worry guys I won't actually do anything to her. I just needed a place to vent. I've never felt so hurt in my life. If she kills my child ill probably never get over it though. She doesn't even have to care for it and she still won't listen. The law won't help. Her parents won't

“I have decided that if she kills my child i will kill her. Thats the only justice in this ****** up country the one you have to take for yourself.”

Within two sentences he began laying out his case for why he should kill her. The more he talked about killing her, the more certain he became that murdering his girlfriend was the only “right and just” thing to do.

“I dont want to kill her. I dont want it to come to that. If only i could stop her..Ive never been so angry or so sure of anything in my life. If i kill her it will be the right thing to do completely. If someone killed your baby wouldn’t you kill them?”

Here’s the original post which appears on Yahoo Answers.

The expectant mother has more at stake than the expectant father does. Back in the bad old days one fourth of woman died of some complication of child bearing. Things aren't that bad now, but still, child bearing can become very dangerous very quickly. I would hope woman would be seeing obgyn. and obgyn would have good judgment to try to get both mother and fetus through pregnancy if feasible, save life with better chance of being saved if things go far enough wrong to have to choose, and not lose both mother and fetus from being too slow to intervene.

I couldn't get the links to work either.

This is almost laughable. You take two examples from the Lunatic Fringe and use that to base the entire issue on? If that's all you got, you are out of ammo.

If a woman has a right to a murder her unborn baby, then she also has a right to be a prostitute, because after all, it is her body and she should have control over what happens to it, right? So, if abortion is a constitutionally protected right, then so is prostitution. Also, by the same reasoning, forcing a father to pay child-support is also unethical, because the woman had a constitutionally protected choice to have the baby, or not, regardless of the father's wishes. So, a man should not have to pay for a decision in which he had no say in.

I have the best reason in the world for being against Fetal Murder. If abortions would have been legal when I was born, I would not have been born. Life hasn't always been a bed of roses for me, but it has it's good times, and no one, mother or otherwise, should have the right to take that away from me, or anyone else. That is Nature's call, not any person's. And there are many, many people who would agree that my little part of the world has been better for me being allowed to be in it. My wife, children, and grandchildren would definitely agree.... So would all of my patients I have treated over the years, and the babies I have delivered that are grown now, and have their own children. The bit of discomfort you may experience (evidently not all that bad, since so many women go through it voluntarily) is a small price to pay for bringing another life into the world, possibly one that may come up with a cure for cancer, or actually create World Peace, or even just a much-needed minister at a small church. You don't know the future, and you have no right to to take it away from others.

So, your mother was forced to have you and other women should be forced to have children that they don't want because otherwise they won't exist. That is your reasoning?? You, dear sir, are seriously messed up. Your reasoning justifies men forcing themselves on women (and then not allowing them to abort) because the resulting people would otherwise not exist. Your other arguments, about prostitution and child support, do make sense.

If you want to watch for your self and decide if a fetus is a living human or just a lump of cells. The video is given by a doctor who performed these.

                      So watch and decide:

Here you can watch some clips from 22 weeks (true story) that includes a short monologue From Jane Roe of Roe verses Wade and her thoughts now

So you don't want me to argue using Biblical basis, fine then Observe and decide for your self. Is the child alive or just a pile of cells that does not deserve legal protection? The video provides an objective look. If you find your position unassailable you should not have any trouble watching and then telling us why you think the child is not alive really and not worth protecting from a legal sense.

My feeling is you can always judge a society from how it protects or fails to protect the most vulnerable. Further you need to ask yourself is there any such thing as Objective Moral values. Are something really wrong that no matter if you could take a vote and get everyone to agree that it wasn't, that the action is still wrong in spite of what we all think. For instance the Holocaust was wrong even if the Nazis had won and managed to kill anyone who disagreed.

So is the child in the womb alive enough to enjoy protection under the law ( with the usual cases excepted in case of rape incest and mortal danger to the mother).

As some have indicated I am not "preying on women" or trying to control them or force any religion on them. My concern is when does life begin and when is a child entitled to their rights? I know some have indicated that we should be put to death or on death row, but I think that is hyperbole and not discussing the topic seriously. Under what reasoning does the rights of the mother always trump the rights of the child? We are even performing in this country post birth abortion (aka infanticide) and our president voted and worked to protect those who commit this. Even Naral was opposed to this, but not our president.

So when is a child human enough? The data from Science is conflicting and pro-choice sites claim there is no brain activity til 24 weeks (convenient answer), which I do not buy.You can see from very early on the child exhibiting behaviors like thumb sucking at 12 weeks. I think seeing long term ultra sounds show activity from very early on. Then of course there is the question of the soul etc. Materialists believe in no such thing despite evidence to the contrary. It does seem to come down to whether or not you believe in God or not and if you think there are such a thing as Objective Moral values. Science is ill equipped to answer this and most will admit that it is outside their domain and the do not have the tools to be able determine when life really begins. technically speaking at conception the baby is alive since it grows in the womb. But when is it alive enough to matter? I think yes it is and it should matter, while the child depends on the mother I can not see how her rights can trump those of the child.

Back in 1980, government did cost benefit calculation for most health care items and found that three paid for themselves in future savings on health care: prenatal care, most childhood vaccinations, and treatment for substance abuse. This is a very good reason for government to provide these three items at no cost to patient, especially low income patients. I hope any obgyn worth his or her salt would try to save both mother and fetus if possible and whichever there would be a better chance of saving if forced to choose, and certainly do best to avoid losing both mother and fetus. A woman should certainly be free to give baby up for adoption at birth if she does not want to keep the baby.

In 1980 when this was first done, contraceptives were not one of the three items judged to be cost effective enough to pay for themselves in terms of future savings on health care alone. I do not know if they assumed that women wanted a certain number of children and that contraceptives would affect only the spacing or what.

This choice is extremely rare, but to the extent that it occurs, I agree.
