Roy Moore asks some crowd "Why now?" referring to the allegations against him for sexual assault against minors?
Here's "why now".
A victim has just been cornered, usually in some off-the-path place, like a house in the woods, a back room, an apartment with no one else around, a car, just use your imagination.
She or he endures whatever sexual assault is perpetrated.
Shock, shame, anger, and confusion set in.
Then the realization that if ONE GUY can do THIS to them, what will a GANG of guys do when the victim comes forward and they all do everything in their power to disparage, contradict, accuse the victim of whatever (that's a REALLY long list), and even threaten the victim?
Flat out there's no justice in the way we treat victims of sexual assault/rape in America.
The reason people are coming out now is, they see others banding together, people who are now powerful in their own rights, enough people from every walk of life, that they realize they now have at least some protection, some possibility they'll be taken seriously, and now that they know there have been so many others, they speak out so that maybe, down the line, this criminal behavior will stop and someone else will be spared.
So to Roy Moore and the questionable people who still support him, realize that the game is fast closing down.
This is NOT a Democrat thing. This is NOT fake news. This is NOT anything but what it is.
The truth is now coming out. Exactly where it's been happening. All over the place.
This is long overdue come-uppins that every abuser totally earned by their despicable, entitled, smug, misogynistic, cruel, bullying behavior.
It's long past time for the 'good guys' to back up victims and prevent the "good 'ol boys" from ever getting away with any of this ever again.
